Daegu Chapter of the Korea Women Entrepreneurs Association and Daegu Center for Creative Economy and Innovation Discuss Support Strategies for Women-Owned Businesses

Active networking opportunities including IR pitching to be introduced

The Daegu Center for Creative Economy and Innovation (hereinafter referred to as “Daegu CCEI”) held a meeting with the Daegu Chapter of the Korea Women Entrepreneurs Association (hereinafter “Daegu Women Entrepreneurs Association”) to explore collaboration strategies for supporting women-owned businesses.

The meeting, held on April 17 at 10 a.m. at Daegu CCEI, focused on discovering and nurturing startups, as well as supporting women entrepreneurs. The two organizations engaged in in-depth discussions on how to effectively cooperate in these areas.

This initial meeting was organized to introduce Daegu CCEI’s major projects and operational activities, and to explore possible links with the women’s startup ecosystem.

Key collaboration ideas discussed included expanding mentoring programs between existing women-led businesses and new women entrepreneurs, matching women startups with business partners, and supporting the continued growth of graduated companies.

Lee In-hyun, Vice President of the Daegu Women Entrepreneurs Association (and CEO of Guchin C&C Co., Ltd.), who attended the meeting, remarked, “I was deeply impressed by the center’s technology-based startup support system,” and added, “We need to develop a strategic approach within the association to encourage more women entrepreneurs to venture into tech-based startups.”

The Daegu Chapter of the Korea Women Entrepreneurs Association plans to establish regular networking sessions and provide opportunities for IR pitching to facilitate practical, ongoing collaboration.

Both parties plan to present tangible outcomes from their cooperation at the upcoming Women Entrepreneurs Conference scheduled for July, including startup showcase sessions. This collaboration is expected to encourage more active participation of women entrepreneurs in the regional startup ecosystem.

Lee Chang-eun, Presient of the Daegu Chapter of the Korea Women Entrepreneurs Association (and CEO of Youngil Engineering Co., Ltd.), stated, “Combining the center’s innovative programs with the association’s field experience will allow us to offer tailored support that truly benefits women entrepreneurs,” and added, “We also look forward to enhanced networking between member companies and startups moving forward.”
